Our Process for Dryer Vent Cleaning in Katy, TX Case Study

For this dryer vent cleaning project in Katy, the documented process began with the following step: Attached the negative air collector duct to the laundry room connection point on the second floor. The stages below preserve the service sequence and technical details supplied in the original case study submission.

Step 1: Equipment Setup

Connected the negative air collector to the laundry room vent connection on the second floor to capture lint and debris during cleaning.

Step 2: Exterior Vent Access

Accessed the dryer vent termination on the exterior wall to clean the ductwork from the opposite end of the system.

Step 3: Compressed Air Cleaning

Inserted a reverse-skip air nozzle from the exterior and used compressed air to loosen accumulated lint while the negative air collector captured the dislodged debris.

Step 4: Full Duct Cleaning

Completed three full cleaning passes through the 20-foot vertical duct run until no additional lint was being removed.

Step 5: Final Airflow Measurement

Measured airflow velocity at the vent termination after cleaning to verify that air was moving freely through the duct.

What M Had to Say

The duct cleaning service was great! Three guys showed up with all of the equipment needed to get the job done. The team started by connecting flex duct and what appeared to be a purifier of some sort to the downstairs return. They proceeded to clean each individual duct with a suction hose, removing the covers and washing them in the nearest sink (they asked for permission first.) They also went into the attic to ensure the system was cleaned from both directions. They sanitized the system, added a deodorizer, and replaced all filters (I provided them). They covered the nearby furniture with plastic before cleaning, and vacuumed each room afterward to ensure no dust or debris was left behind. They finished the service by doing a complimentary cleaning of our dryer vent from the outside, something that was overdue. Overall, I was very impressed by Sergio and his team. They were polite, efficient, and thorough. Highly recommend!
